Description

Technovit® 4006 "HIGH CLEAR" from Kulzer sets standards for transparent cold mounting materials in the basic properties that are crucial in materialographic applications: Transparency, temperature, marginal gap, health.

Material properties:
Technovit® 4006 is a highly transparent 2-component mounting agent based on methyl methacrylate in powder and liquid form.
Technovit® 4006 is used for all mountings that require transparency, i.e. the user has to examine the specimen through the mounting medium during specimen preparation. The main application of this material is therefore in the electronics industry as an aid for target preparation.

Application:
Technovit® 4006 can be used very variably. Due to the fast polymerisation time, Technovit® 4006 is ideally suited for routine work. The mixing ratio can be varied according to the requirements and the required flowability. A ratio of 2:1 is recommended as a base. The curing time is 11 min at 22° C.

Special properties:
• Transparent: Highly transparent, as if through a pane of glass, examine your sample during target preparation! By using high quality raw materials Technovit® guarantees 100 % transparency in the print pot and UV resistance.
• Colder: Polymerisation heat is chemical and cannot be eliminated. Technovit® 4006 is approx. 10 % "colder" compared to other products due to the use of special raw material combinations. Protect your samples!
• Low-gap: The integrated adhesion promoter creates a low-gap bond to your sample. The prerequisite for reliable results!
• Less harmful: Due to the product properties that cold mounting agents must fulfil, these products must always be processed in accordance with occupational health and safety guidelines. With Technovit® 4006, however, we have greatly reduced harmful and irritating substances by using a new initiator system!
