Hot Mounting
In hot embedding, a plastic granulate is melted in a hot embedding press under temperature and pressure and...
... cooled in a controlled manner.
The advantages of this process are the high hardness of the hot mounting medium and the good gap-free properties. The disadvantage, apart from the higher purchase costs of a warm mounting press, is the process duration of approx. 15 min per mounting process. We will be happy to advise and calculate for you, independently of the manufacturer, which embedding process is most economical for your samples.
Properties such as the Shore hardness or setting parameters of the press (heating time, temperature, pressure, cooling time) for our warm embedding media have been compiled for you on our website and linked above.
