Ambulatory metallography (also component metallography) is used for mobile, almost non-destructive metallography directly ...

... on the component. In principle, the same steps are carried out as in the laboratory, but in a mobile way: Grinding, polishing, microstructure contrasting and assessment/documentation, for example by means of foil impressions. We offer suitable accessories for this, such as our transportable grinding, polishing and etching device (MobiPol), lamellar grinding pins, abrasive papers and polishing cloths in 30 mm diameters for sticking on rubber carriers as well as acetate foil in two different thicknesses.

If you want to go into more detail about ambulatory component metallography, we offer a practical seminar in mobile hardness testing and ambulatory metallography twice a year in cooperation with our partner laboratory Arnold Horsch e.K..
